The Ask
Humanity was born out of a desire to create change and spread knowledge about the health benefits of cannabis, both at the individual and industry level. Poised to launch as not only a CPG brand, but also a hospitality and retail brand, we were tasked with developing a unique brand identity and differentiated retail concept that would make cannabis a key part of daily life.





The Result
Humanity holds the belief that the only way to integrate cannabis with modern life is to advance it, bringing scientific rigor and innovation to ancient plant-use practices. We explored how people and cultures around the world have leveraged cannabis and other organics for centuries to help the brand develop modern lifestyle products and experiences that were rooted in the intrinsic, symbiotic relationship between plants and people.
In the first phase of the project, we created Humanity’s brand platform and conceptualized key brand moments across the CPG product, retail dispensary, and consumption experience. From there, we developed a comprehensive style guide and designed Humanity’s first retail space: part dispensary, part consumption lounge.
